I have played at Prairie Meadows for the past 5 years and have noticed that in the past year, slot payouts have become minimal. I live close so I go there frequently. I abandoned my players card thinking that it would affect play. I have noticed that you have to play higher denominations, be willing to lose between 5 and 10 dollars per machine before hitting small amounts and trying to hit a bonus during the day is very difficult. Just this morning I went and spent 150.00 on a variety of 50 cent machines, hit 4 bonuses. The highest was 9 dollars and the lowest was 75 cents. My impression is that their current marketing strategy is to prey on the over 55 crowd, making machines very stingy, knowing that they spending their retirement and just trying to kill some time. I wish the regulatory officials would investigate Prairie Meadows because I question the claim that they have a 92% payout. Playing 7-10 dollars a machine with little chance of return is not entertainment anymore.
