We always stop and stay in our RV in the parking lot, very quiet. Really enjoy ourselves there. Will be stay on our way down again in June. ]]> Fri, 04 Jun 2021 20:03:22 +0000 <![CDATA[Kla-Mo-Ya Casino: This is not a steak house!]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/2509416 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/2509416
This is the tightest casino I've seen in a long time. Every casino I've been to in WA or OR offered some kind of complimentary beverages/ coffee - this offers nothing ! To get x dollars in free play you must spend x dollars first. To get the free play for buying 10 gallons of gas is very complicated - inquire carefully! ( You must qualify your players card by spending x dollars !) I decided to get a steak dinner with the only free thing they gave me a 20% off coupon. Even though, I came more than an hour before closing time, they close down their food table an hour before closing time! WhenbI got my baked potato with my steak they put in sour cream without asking me ! When I asked for and got another baked potato, I asked for chives and bacon bits the waitress acted like I asked for "exotic ingredients". She finally gave me some chives but said bacon bits would be $1 extra. When I tried to explain what normal condiment other restaurants usual supply with a baked potato (i.e. chives, bacon bits, grated cheese) the restaurant manager exclaimed, " This is not a steak house ! " I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

<![CDATA[Kla-Mo-Ya Casino: Not fun]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/2509390 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/2509390 This place is a joke! I waited for an hour for someone to show up to the players club. Finally after spending $400 I asked security if the players club was going to open. In the time that I waited for the players club to open I had 3 beers. Then the security said I was cut off because I had 4 beers in an hour. ]]> Tue, 11 Sep 2018 03:14:29 +0000 <![CDATA[Kla-Mo-Ya Casino: Nice little Casino, Enjoyed playing here.]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/2503500 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/2503500 After reading the reviews, I was not expecting much from this casino. I was surprised when I arrived. The casino is small, but very clean and well kept. I was here Friday and Saturday night and the parking lot was never over half full. All the slots and video poker that you could want. The only table games were Blackjack, 2 double decks out of a shoe and a 6 deck table. The dealers and pit bosses knew my name right away, the pit bosses came over often and asked how thing were going at the table. The casino is 30 minutes away from Crater Lake. The Casino is lacking a Bar and Hotel. The Buffet was OK. They do not offer Poker, but talk to the locals at the table, there is a town nearby that has Poker. Overall, I was in the area and had a good time here. ]]> Mon, 30 Aug 2010 13:26:13 +0000 <![CDATA[Kla-Mo-Ya Casino: Are We There Yet?]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/2503297 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/2503297 You have to be really desperate to go here. Not that you have a lot of choices anywhere nearby. No spirit, no morale, angry customers, disinterested owners. Just wanted to get a beer and play a little. Guess what? No beer, wine, etc. Only casino in Oregon that has no liquor license. What's up with that?? ]]> Sat, 10 Oct 2009 21:47:47 +0000 <![CDATA[Kla-Mo-Ya Casino: Average or better]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/2502036 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/2502036

I have played at every casino in Oregon and several in Washington and California. This is certainly not the best, but for the location I believe it ranks above average.

I have stayed at the Rapids motel (not 5 star, but ok) several times and Melita's motel (substandard at best). The casino offers a shuttle from most of central Oregon.

Fishing and camping is excellent up to 50 miles in all directions. Give it a try. If you go there not expecting the MGM Grand, you can have a good time.

<![CDATA[Kla-Mo-Ya Casino: Bottom of the Barrel]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/260 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oregon/kla-mo-ya-casino.html/discussions/260 An awful experience. Possibly the worst experience in a casino I've had in years.

The outside of the casino looks like it hasn't been attended to in a long time. There is no buffet, and the food they served was cold and overcooked.

Slots were ok, some newer ones. They only offered blackjack in the small pit area but the dealers seem bored. The only thing that keeps this place open is, it has no competition. No hotel, some RV services, heavy truck traffic makes the parking lot a mess. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. ]]>
